Markets
Discover normalized events, tradable markets, outcomes, rules, venue mappings, schedules, and eligibility metadata.
Draft v0.1 — design contract, not yet a live service
This documentation set defines a proposed Time Seventeen protocol for review and implementation planning. https://api.t17.capital is the approved and reserved REST origin, but neither that origin nor any documented endpoint is claimed to be live. The WebSocket origin remains unspecified. Credentials, chain IDs, contract addresses, rate limits, and SLAs remain unapproved; IDs, prices, and timestamps shown throughout are illustrative, not real production data.
Time Seventeen normalizes venue-specific events and markets without erasing their native semantics. An Event describes the real-world question family; a Market is the resolvable tradable instrument; an Outcome is the explicit side an order or price refers to.
Endpoint summary
| Method & path | Purpose |
|---|---|
GET /events | Discover normalized events |
GET /events/{event_id} | Read event detail and source mappings |
GET /markets | Discover tradable markets |
GET /markets/{market_id} | Read outcomes, rules, schedule, status, and venue metadata |
All endpoints are public. Price, order-book, and trade routes are documented under Prices.
Events
GET /events supports status, category, region, venue_id, starts_after, ends_before, as_of, cursor, and limit. The default order is updated_at descending, then event_id ascending.

Markets
GET /markets supports event_id, venue_id, status, category, outcome_type, index_id, eligibility_status, resolution_after, as_of, cursor, and limit. The default order is updated_at descending, then market_id ascending.

}Outcome semantics
- Every price, order, fill, and position MUST name an
outcome_id; clients MUST NOT infer YES/NO from bid or ask placement. - A binary YES bid may mathematically imply a NO ask. A normalized value created this way MUST carry
derived: trueand name the derivation rule. - Multi-outcome books may be independent. Quotes need not sum to
1.0000because of spreads, fees, stale updates, and distinct liquidity. - Payout and collateral rules belong to the Market definition, not to an assumed venue-wide default.
Resolution and corrections
Resolution rules and sources are versioned. A final result records the winning outcome(s), resolution timestamp, evidence references, resolver identity/type, dispute window, and finality state. A corrected resolution creates an explicit revision with supersedes_id and correction_reason; it does not erase the original audit record.
Eligibility, rating, and severity
eligibility is a versioned policy decision for an index or trading use. Market Rating is a separate quality assessment that may be cited as evidence only if the eligibility policy says so. Severity Assessment measures real-world impact and MUST NOT appear as a Market quality field.
